November Mission of the Month: MacLaurinCSF

Mission:

MacLaurinCSF exists to strengthen Christian thinking at the University of Minnesota and in the Twin Cities, by bringing needed theological resources to the university and important academic resources to the church.

Purpose:

MacLaurinCSF, a Christian study center located on the campus of the U of M, is a community of students, scholars, pastors, and people from local churches committed to pursuing the implications of the historic Christian faith for every field of study, every vocation, and every facet of the human experience.  We welcome all visitors to our Study Center at 1337 Cleveland Avenue North in St. Paul.  Bring a friend or a book.  Office hours are 9 AM-3 PM, Tuesday-Friday.

Program:

Our strategic programs include Visiting Scholars Lecture Series, Reading Groups, Regular Coffee Hours, discussions and community events, Library and Website resources, Christian Faculty Network, Theology Seminar, and Student Fellows Program.

Since the University of Minnesota plays a leading role in shaping the cultural possibilities of our region, it is imperative that a coordinated Christian intellectual witness exist within the University community.  MacLaurinCSF is this witness.
