Scott, Jen, Sam, & Oliver
We welcome the Scott & Jen Jeffrey family to Redwood Falls and to Cornerstone Christian Church! Scott is our new Senior Pastor and Jen is our Youth & Family Ministry Coordinator. Due to there just arriving in Redwood Falls around midnight Wednesday morning and with the busyness of moving and getting acquainted with their new house and community, they will not have an article in this weeks newsletter.
Dear Church Family:
Here are the immediate precautionary measures that we are now implementing at the Cornerstone Christian Church building as we begin to come back together for Worship:
Attendance Guidelines
We are asking all members and visitors of the CCC to please adhere to the CDC guidelines, when deciding whether to attend Sunday services in person:
- If you’ve traveled out of state or to an area impacted by the Coronavirus in the past 7 days, please stay home & worship via Livestream.
- If you, or a family member has shown CV-19 symptoms, including a 99.5+ degree fever, shortness of breath, a cough, persistent runny nose, or sore throat, in the past 7 days, please stay home & worship via Livestream.
- If you are in a high-risk category for contracting the virus, which include individuals with compromised immune systems or respiratory problems, please stay home and worship via Livestream.
Changes in Sunday Worship Service:
Out of love for our neighbor, we encourage everyone to wear a mask (though it is not mandatory)
We have not removed any of the chairs in the sanctuary. We’ve removed a few that are around the tables
that we have our camera set on. As recommended we will be practicing social distancing, keep a safe zone of 6 feet. (Same household families may sit together.) Seating will be every other row. (Rows 1, 3, 5,and 7) Those who are comfortable sitting in the front row, please do so. Thank You!
Follow the rules: Cough and sneeze into your sleeve, avoid handshakes. Use hand sanitizer, avoid touching your mouth or face.
Interior Doors will be left open to avoid individuals touching door handles.
Hand sanitizer is available.
We will be using pre-filled communion cups/kits (wafer and juice in a single container). They will be placed in the rack of the chair in front of you.
Instead of passing the offering plate, there will be a place for you to drop your offering as you enter the
sanctuary. (As you enter the building please use the east staircase. Staircase to the right).
Kids Activity bags will be sanitized weekly. If you use one, do not return it to the hook, but rather place it in the basket below for sanitization before the next week’s service.
We also are encouraging everyone to consider pre-authorized giving and having your offerings directly deposit to the church’s checking account. For details on how to set up this automatic giving plan, please contact Pat Salmon or one of the Elders for details.
Coffee will not be provided.
When you use the restroom, wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds. Use the
paper towel that you dried your hands with to open the door as you leave, to avoid contact with the door
handle. We will have a trash basket outside the door for paper towel disposal.
We want to discourage use of the Fellowship Hall and kitchen for both church and family events. However, if it should be used, we ask that all surfaces be sprayed and wiped down with disinfectant and properly dispose of the paper towels in the trash.
Personal space: We all love handshakes and hugs, but please refrain from doing it. Practice social
distancing….keep a 6 foot safe zone.
We ask that you be respectful to each other, regardless of your personal views on the virus. Safety concerns, distancing, and with the wearing of masks or with not wearing a mask. Remember, each person has their own medical concerns and they are making their decisions based on their personal concerns.
If you are unable to attend in-person for any reason, we totally understand, and hope you can continue to use the Website/Facebook livestream option (please let us know if/how we can serve you!)
Philippians 2:3-5: “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above your-selves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus…”
